We have had the best fun during November in Áine’s class. Our theme of the month was construction so we donned our hard hats and got to work. We used all sorts of tools and made all sorts of buildings using the polydrons, wooden blocks and magnetic tiles. We listened and responded to the stories The Three Little Pigs, Peace at Last, A Squash and a Squeeze and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We also made the most amazing projects about our homes. In addition to this, we celebrated STEM week with the whole school and really enjoyed the STEM workshop held in the hall.
We also had an amazing visit from Olympic boxer Aidan Walsh during November. He inspired us to really work hard at our gross motor skills and you can see a little glimpse of this in our photos. We have been working on balance and throwing and catching through a variety of different activities and above all, we’ve been having a lot of fun being active.
Finally, we have been super busy with our phonics and numeracy skills in Áine’s class. We love learning through station activities and we’ve had lots of fun with paint bags, sand, shaving foam, bingo dabblers and the class IPads to practise all our learning!
