November 2025 Update

1st Dec 2025

Welcome back! Here’s an update of what we’ve been up to since returning from the October midterm break:

Maths: We’ve jumped straight into multiplication and division tables, and the children are really enjoying our daily challenges. We’ve also begun exploring fractions, which they are tackling with great enthusiasm.

Music: Ukulele lessons have continued with Martin, and we’ve had fun learning about the purpose of Sea Shanties and trying out some simple rhythmic patterns.

English: Our focus has been on explanation writing—perfect timing, as it helped students clearly describe the process and results of their STEM week homework experiments.

SESE: We travelled back in time to the world of the Vikings and were fascinated by their ingenuity—from the clever design of their longboats, to their ability to navigate using the stars, to their rich belief system centred around the Norse gods and their unique Rune writing.

PE: The children loved their football coaching sessions with TY students Adam and Lucy, where they developed their passing and scoring skills while having plenty of fun.

STEM Week: This was a real highlight! The class learned the basics of coding through Scratch, took on our Race the Ramp challenge, investigated how different liquids behave, and proudly presented their STEM homework experiments to both classmates and the wider school community.

Class Open Morning: A huge well done to the class for their fantastic presentations of their STEM experiments. They spoke with such confidence and pride—I’m sure you were just as impressed as I was by their hard work and creativity!

Thank you for your continued support—there’s plenty more fun and learning ahead for the class as we finish up Term 1 and look forward to 2026!
