The children have settled in well after the summer and are busy learning, creating and exploring! Here's a snapshot of what we have been doing:
- In Maths, we’ve been practising addition and subtraction and have started exploring multiplication.
- Music lessons with Martin have us strumming along on the ukulele, and we were very lucky to meet Deirdre, who represented Ireland in the Special Olympics and proudly showed us her gold medal!
- In Science, we’ve been learning about our local habitat and the minibeasts that live there, and we loved meeting our Senior Infant buddies for an autumn nature trail walk.
- Through English, we’ve been exploring creative writing using storyboards and even created our own stop-motion movies.
- History has taken us back to the Stone Age, where we’ve discovered what life was like — from food and tools to clothes, shelters and cave art.
It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year — with lots more fun and discovery ahead!
