The school had a massive celebration on Friday 19th June, when our new school building was officially opened by the Minister for Education and Youth, Hildegarde Naughton. Despite the bad weather, the day was a major success. We had performances from the two after school theatrical groups and speeches from Minister Naughton, Miriam Hurley from Educate Together, Verna Barron, Chairperson of RaLET and Noel, our principal. RTE even came out to cover the story for their show "News2day".
The ceremony was expertly hosted by our Student Council, who did a fantastic job keeping everything running smoothly.
We were then honoured to welcome Minister Naughton to the front of the school who cut the ribbon.
After that, the Garda Band arrived to perform to the whole school in the hall. It was super fun!
