We have had a busy start to 2nd class!
Here are some of the activities that we have been up to:
Maths:
We had lots of fun playing the card game Addition Wars! It really helped us to practise our mental addition skills while enjoying a bit of friendly competition.
Art:
In art, we learned all about the colour wheel. We mixed the primary colours to create the secondary colours, and then turned our colour wheels into bright and colourful eyes!
Music:
We’ve been busy learning about rhythm and stick notation in music. We loved playing lots of different rhythm patterns on our percussion instruments.
Science:
For science, we met up with 5th Class and explored the school grounds in search of native Irish trees. 5th Class helped us to record information about each tree we found—it was great teamwork!
